Denver Young Artist Orchestra
Benefit concert by the prize-winning youth orchestra from Colorado
This top-flight USA youth orchestra was founded in 1977 in Denver (in the US state of Colorado) and has garnered numerous honour in its time. To date around 300 young people aged 7 to 23 have received an excellent musical education in this euphonious ensemble. Many of them will follow in the footsteps of their older colleagues and take their places in the not-so-distant future in celebrated US institutions such as the Boston Symphony orchestra and the Chicago Symphony orchestra. Wes Kenney has wielded the baton at the Denver Young Artist Orchestra since 2013, and naturally he will also be conducting this benefit concert.
