Ursula Strauss & BartolomeyBittmann: ALLES LIEBE – ALL ABOUT LOVE
A title to be taken literally
For Ursula Strauss and the BartolomeyBittmann duo, everything in their new joint programme revolves around the finest subject of them all. Love in all its facets, love in every form – love dreamed-of, and love squandered; frantic love, abandoned love; reckless love, being in love… testing the limits of passion!
The three artists move through the worlds of music and literature, exploring a whole host of genres. And so we find the marvellous idiom of Christine Nöstlinger alongside love poetry from the High Romantic, and light-hearted love affairs from the 1920s next to extracts from Bravo magazine in the 1970s. Folk songs, Wienerlieder and pop songs, together with the invariably energetic music of BartolomeyBittmann – a sensual, funny and occasionally critical approach to the often overused concept we call love.
Ursula Strauss and enjoyed an enthusiastic audience reception for their previous project “Marlene”. With “Alles Liebe”, the trio bring to the stage another powerhouse piece on a subject that moves each and every one of us.
