Around the World in Eighty Days

* abgespielt

“Around the World in Eighty Days” is based on the famous novel by Jules Verne. The Vienna Boys’ Choir use music to tell the tale of Phileas Fogg’s mad voyage with his manservant Passepartout, a voyage he made to win a bet. The acclaimed programme, which includes music by Purcell and Britten, Bizet and Poulenc, Vivaldi and Verdi, as well as songs from India, Pakistan, China, Japan and the USA, has already been presented to audiences in Asia and America.

And what happens when the Choir perform this programme at MuTh, on their home ground? The audience members are taken on their own virtual journey, travelling by excursion train and four-masted barque – all courtesy of their travel agents, Luiz de Godoy and director Monika Steiner.
