Chinese New Year Concert
“China Meets Austria” Festival

* abgespielt

Soon the Year of the Cockerel gets underway in China. To mark the occasion, on 2nd February 2017 a Chinese New Year Concert is being held in the MuTh Concert Hall for the very first time.

Talented young Chinese and Austrian musicians will lead the audience on a musical journey, taking in the city of Vienna and visiting the vast country of China. The multifaceted programme will include an international selection of choral singing, orchestral music, and dance.

The Chinese New Year Concert is a regular feature of the “China Meets Austria” intercultural festival, and over recent years it has become an important part of Austro-Chinese cultural collaboration.

Numerous artists from these two countries — both established and emerging — have taken part in the “China Meets Austria” festival since its inauguration, and a wide range of concerts, exhibitions, cultural symposia, school visits and film weeks have been successfully staged right across Austria.

The festival is curated by the Organisation for the Promotion of Austro-Chinese Relations, the Confucius Institute at the University of Vienna, and Uniart Media Vienna.

Free admission. Please book to avoid disappointment.
