colluvio CHAMBER MUSIC Academy 2020

Rising stars from across Europe performing chamber music masterpieces

Each year eleven up-and-coming musicians are selected by audition for the colluvio Chamber Music Academy. The players hail from right across Europe. After an intensive course of master classes at Gut Hornegg in Styria, they embark on an international concert tour, taking in Ptuj, Vienna, Prague, Našice, Novi Sad, Belgrade and Budapest. At MuTh these rising stars perform works by Claude Debussy, Anton Stepanovich Arensky and Antonín Dvorák.

It is worth noting that these young musicians, who stem from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, have never met or played together until they arrive at Gut Hornegg. Yet within ten days they are performing the most demanding pieces of the chamber music repertoire to concert standard. Two factors combine to make this possible: first, their high standard of musical ability; and second, the “colluvio method”, which is individually tailored for each player.
