Do you like Brahms? II
Markus Schirmer & friends in the MuTh

* abgespielt

Following performances of Johannes Brahms’ chamber music for clarinet and cello, Markus Schirmer now turns his attention to the composer’s marvellous writing for piano quartet. To help him in this endeavour, he has invited some carefully selected friends from the world of music. Alongside Reinhard Latzko, the highly respected Professor of Cello at the Musical Universities of Vienna and Graz, we hear two emerging young talents: Yevgeny Chepovetsky, a multiple prizewinner from Boris Kuschnir’s violin masterclass, and the spirited Columbian viola player Jorge Enrique Lozano. Austria’s most refreshingly entertaining musical historian, Prof. Dr Harald Haslmayr, whose witty and knowledgeable musical introductions have enthused listeners right across the German-speaking realm, will tonight cast his spell on the MuTh audience for the very first time.
