Our 50-piece guest orchestra is based in the Czech town of Zlín. Their programme tonight includes exhilarating contemporary music (Karl Fiorini), Russian High Romantic (Borodin’s Symphony in B minor), a jewel of the Baroque (Bach’s Concerto for two Violins), and Beethoven’s unique Triple Concerto, which had its first performance in 1808 in Vienna’s Augarten. Maestro Yuriy Yanko conducts. The soloists include two students of Igor Petrushevski.
