A classic of Austrian literature, re-imagined by a young creative team Following on from “Gespenster” (2018) and “Elektra” (2019), the “Augentheater der Zukunft” theatre group, under young director Sebastian Kranner, return to MuTh with their third in-house production. Arthur Schnitzler’s novella “Fräulein Else” was first published in 1924. As in the original, the eponymous protagonist of this new version finds herself caught in a web of submissiveness, duty and sexual assault.

Augentheater der Zukunft is mostly composed of students from the High School Senior Class of the Vienna Boys’ Choir.
