In the folk idiom II
Bartolomeys in the MuTh / Dvorak - Brahms

* abgespielt

Dvorak and Brahms were composers who, far more than most, infused their works with elements of folk music. They incorporated dances, as in their Slavic and Hungarian Dances, and song, whether simple folk refrains or gypsy songs. Neither composer confined these elements to their symphonies and vocal works; they both integrated them quite deliberately into their chamber music. The players here are six musicians who became close friends during their student years and in their time together at orchestra camp. Although nowadays they live scattered around the globe, they have reunited to celebrate in music their common bond and their shared sense of identity.
