This year’s Yiddish Culture Festival will be opened by the celebrated Wiener Klezmer Orchestra. The only orchestra in the world to play rousing Jewish with a symphonic sound, they are bringing their unique fare to the MuTh stage. The programme includes klezmer music and Jewish songs “done differently”. Conducted by clarinet virtuoso Sasha Danilov, the orchestra will be supported by an ensemble of soloists from the Vienna Jewish Choir.

Cornelius Obonya will read a selection of satirical texts by Jewish authors. Several star guests, whose identities are yet to be revealed, will help ensure a richly varied evening with a host of surprises.
