Lehigh University Choir: 150 Years of Singing
* abgespielt
The 70-strong Lehigh University Choir hails from the US State of Pennsylvania, and has a long and distinguished tradition. They have appeared alongside Chanticleer, the famous vocal ensemble from San Francisco, and have premiered a number of pieces that were written specifically for them. One of their particular strengths is their ability to switch effortlessly from one genre to another. The works of Bach, Handel and Mozart are as much a part of their repertoire as spirituals and gospel music – as indeed are various compositions by choirmaster Steven Sametz, who has announced that their guest appearance in Vienna will feature the premiere of a new piece.
