Maria Radutu & Eno Peçi: Piano & Dance
Virtuosity in dance, virtuosity at the keyboard

Two artists; two art forms; two virtuosi, performing in unison. “When dance and music meet, one of the two is usually in the background. But with “Piano & Dance”, our approach is to fuse the two forms together, and bring the finest of both to the stage”. Decca artist Maria Radutu and Staatsoper solo dancer Eno Peçi first worked together on the stage of the Wiener Staatsoper, where Peçi took the lead role in “Blanc”, with Radutu performing as the theatre’s guest soloist. After several conversations, they realised they could create something new: ballet and music together, as equals, in perfect harmony. And so this sensitive pianist and the dynamic solo dancer from the Wiener Staatsoper have joined forces to bring these two worlds together in a single evening. Maria’s musical storytelling plays into Eno’s choreography, just as Eno’s dance feeds into Maria’s programme selection. Virtuoso dance and keyboard perfection – music with flesh and blood, an event for all the senses. Spectacular. Arresting. Original.
