monsters & angels
A collaboration between Tonkünstler-Orchesters NÖ and Wien Modern / Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich Composition: Bernhard Gander / Conductor Rossen Gergov /Director: Christoph Zauner

* abgespielt

It is totally dark in the concert hall …a ripple stirs the screen. Short scenes from horror films are shown over and over to a commentary by Bernhard Gander. The composer is an important figure in contemporary music whose work breaks down the barriers between different genres: Pop, classical, elaborate orchestral music, funky grooves – everything has its place. Extracts from Gander’s pieces “lovely monster” and “dirty angel” are used to stage a concert which connects with the realities of young peoples lives and, by referencing the everyday, helps break down reservations about New Music. Ages 14 and over Tickets: € 18; Children and young people: €9
