A benefit concert by the Vienna Boys’ Choir

“Refugees Welcome”“ is the title of the benefit concert which the Vienna Boys’ Choir, before setting off for the Far East, are giving on a spur of the moment basis to support Caritas Refugee Aid. On September 15th, the Boys can be heard at MuTh performing their “Silk Road – Ring Road” programme, which they will also be presenting on tour. In the first part the audience is taken on a journey along the old Silk Road, accompanied by Venetian motets, a 3,000-year-old Rain Dance from Uzbekistan, a spirited Indian Bhajan and a song from the province of Xinjiang. The second part of the programme leads us around the Vienna Ring Road, with music by Mozart, Mendelssohn and of course Johann Strauss. Jimmy Chiang conducts. Proceeds and donations will go to Caritas Refugee Aid.
