The history of Kanagawa University’s Symphonic Band goes back as far as 1938. The band was initially established as an extracurricular activity. But over the years, its students have garnered numerous musical prizes. Their musical partner for this concert is an Italian saxophone ensemble that interprets both classical and popular pieces with virtuosity and a sense of irony.

Each year the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival brings more than a thousand children and youngsters to Vienna. They come from every corner of the globe to widen their cultural and musical experience and to take part in the competition.
This year sees the tenth Summa Cum Laude Festival, and once again MuTh is staging a series of concerts by selected orchestras and choirs from right around the world.
