Texte.Über.Leben (Texts.About.Life.)
A gala concert in aid of VinziRast

Dialect poet Sigrid Horn (winner of the 2019 Protestsongcontest) and slam poetry icons Mieze Medusa and Elias Hirschl join surprise guests for a benefit evening in aid of the homeless. Artists from multiple genres come together in solidarity, performing to support the work of VinziRast.

Besides the vocal acts, you will hear thought-provoking texts written by people who have experienced homelessness for themselves. These will be presented by various young people and participants in the VinziRast writers’ workshop. It is now over ten years since Renate Welsh-Rabady, winner of the 2016 Vienna City Literature Prize and the 2017 Theodor Kramer Prize, set up this workshop for those living in VinziRast facilities.

The evening will be hosted on behalf of VinziRast by two presenters: Yasmin Hafedh, curator of the 2019 Vienna Pop Festival and frontwoman of Yasmo & die Klangkantine; and author and moderator Henrik Szanto (FOMP- Fear of Missing Poetry).
