Was ihr wollt
by William Shakespeare / A Vienna Children's Theatre production

* abgespielt

Over 80 children from the Vienna Children’s Theatre take on a variety of roles. “We want to perform Shakespeare!” This was what everyone in the Vienna Children’s Theatre wanted to do in 2014. Their 2012 and 2013 pieces –  “Der Verschwender” (the spendthrift) by Ferdinand Raimund and “Das Sparschwein” (the Piggy Bank) by Eugène Labiche – had a rather serious background; the children grappled with the topics of the financial crisis, wastefulness and greed. It’s all rather different with Shakespeare: who is with who, when, how and why not … The plot twists and turns in William Shakespeare’s magnificent comedy of identity “Was ihr wollt” (Twelfth Night). There won’t be a dry eye in the house as we follow the errors that beset Duke Orsino and Countess Olivia in their imaginary country of Illyria. Tickets: €22/18/14 Children and young people: €12/10/8
