Wiener Sängerknaben in the MuTh

We are back: Simply Classical
The Vienna Boys' Choir perform songs from their latest CD

* abgespielt

For their first concert in the new season, the Vienna Boys’ Choir have put together a classical programme. Manolo Cagnin and his choir perform works from the Middle Ages to the present day. Their singing takes the audience through a whole gamut of emotions – with choral music from Caldara, Vivaldi and Rossini, romantic highlights from Schumann and Schubert, and Franz Biebl’s famous “Ave Maria/ Angelus Domini”.

After taking the audience on an exhilarating ride through America, the choristers fly back to Europe to the tune of Domenico Modugno’s “Volare”. Then the Choir, in the company of Josef Strauss, make their way home to the Danube with his “Matrosen-Polka”.

You can take some of this marvellous repertoire home with you on the Choir’s latest CD: “Simply Classical” is issued by Resound, the Vienna Boys’ Choir’s own label.

Choral music from the Middle Ages to the present day: songs from the new CD “Simply Classical”.
