MuTh’s first season may be short – it runs from December 2012 to June 2013 – but it is certainly packed with excitement. The schedule offers a colourful medley of events, and it provides a glimpse of what is planned for the future. You will no doubt be asking for more: more events, more music, more theatre, more projects for young people, more of the Boys’ Choir, and more challenging and confrontational art.

The venue will open with a concert by the Vienna Boys’ Choir and the Vienna Philharmonic under the direction of Franz Welser-Möst.
The Open Day will provide an opportunity for everyone to get to know the new venue and the people who work in it.
After that, the artist Carmen Brucic creates a counterpoint with her “Congress on Courage”, a critical artistic intervention on the theme of bravery.
From January on, the Vienna Boys’ Choir – ranging from kindergarten to sixth form – demonstrates its many facets: as well as performing classical pieces, the choir is also open to World Music and theatrical projects.
Then, in the summer of 2013, the Concert Hall will be host to a number of festivals, including the ImPuls Dance Festival.
Cooperative projects with various cultural institutes such as the Volksoper Vienna, Dschungel Wien (the Vienna Jungle), the Vienna Children’s Theatre, festivals, schools and other educational establishments (including the Konservatorium Wien University) are another key element in the schedule. In addition, dance, theatre and performance all have their own space in the programme.
