When we sit in the auditorium, enjoying some marvellous music or a wonderful piece of theatre — what’s going on behind the scenes? How is the acoustic created? We see the stage – but what equipment is hidden behind, below and above it? What skills does a sound engineer need? And what clever trickery is used to create all those amazing illusions?

At MuTh you can peer over the technicians’ shoulders, take a peek behind the curtain, and find out just how theatre magic is made. This exciting guided tour reveals all the hidden technology that lies behind every concert and every theatrical event. And once the tour is over, you can have a go at the controls of the lighting and sound desks yourself. We’ll set up all the equipment, ready for a concert!
