“Die Schrägen von der Wiesn” is a band which combines the talents of singer Ferdl – whose dark humour is the essence of “Wiener Schmäh” – and three instrumentalists: Lois, Werner and Nik. Expect to hear not just polkas and waltzes, but Bossa Nova numbers as well. The audience is invited to join in, with plenty of singing, whistling and raucous applause. As you would expect, their songs tell of love, and dreams of a better life. And sometimes they also talk about death – just as you would expect in Vienna.
