MARIA RADUTU: PHOENIX
A rebirth, in musical imagery
Chamber music | Concert | Adults
PHOENIX steers us through cheerfulness and melancholy, mania and stability. The programme aims to let the listener experience the richness of each of these emotional worlds in a single evening. It is a voyage which takes in twelve ports of call, namely twelve piano pieces by composers ranging from Frédéric Chopin to Mikael Karlsson. While the music is being performed, paintings by the artist Felicia Gulda are projected for the audience. Each painting was inspired by the piece of music it accompanies.
In the words of Maria Radutu: “PHOENIX is the transformation of the youthful, passionate, unfettered soul, through a process of escape and loss, into self-confidence and maturity. An evening full of music, with a few stories – an evening to help us feel all those emotions once again.”
The pre-concert wine tasting:
WINE REBORN We take a look at recent discoveries – and also some comebacks – in the world of wine. Our aim: to leave behind the well-trodden path, and make new discoveries. This calls for courage and daring!
The wine tasting takes place an hour and a half before the concert, and is open to all who subscribe to the GLASWEISE KLASSIKER cycle. The wine tasting is not included in tickets purchased for this individual concert.
