When we experience the magic of the theatre, with all the wonderful music and set designs which carry us off to another world — what’s going on in the background? How do the acoustics work? What equipment is hidden behind, below and above the stage? What skills does a sound engineer need? What clever tricks are used to create all those marvellous illusions?

At MuTh you can peer over the technicians’ shoulders, take a peek behind the curtain, and find out just how theatre magic is made. This exciting guided tour reveals all the hidden technology that lies behind every concert and every theatrical event. And once the tour is over, you can have a go at the controls of the lighting and sound desks yourself. We’ll set up all the equipment, ready for a concert!
