ALFRED DORFER, “GLEICH”

Bears, carp, sunflowers and grandmothers – that celebrated juggler of ideas Alfred Dorfer brings them all to the stage with his new solo piece “GLEICH”, in which his tale-telling abounds with narrative detours and temporal shifts. But “GLEICH” is more than just a collection of odd characters and points in time. Sitting in tension with reality, this piece raises questions and keeps returning the audience to a state of doubt. Can we really take what we see at face value? Or is this cabaret-style one-man show just a fantasy that Dorfer has created, subtly reflecting the viewer’s image?
