ALLES JUGEND (ALL ABOUT YOUTH) | MGW FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA

Jeunesse – Experience music | at Das MuTh

Orchestral music | Classic | Concert | Young people | Adults | Family

Due to health reasons, Katharina Paul has unfortunately had to withdraw from the concert. As a substitute, Filip Trifu will perform Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54. The originally planned Horn Concerto by Mozart has been cancelled. We extend our sincere thanks to Filip Trifu for stepping in at short notice.

With the motto »Wir sind der Klang der neuen Welt« (We are the sound of the new world), the MGW Festival Orchestra – founded by students of Vienna’s Music High School – will make its debut at Das MuTh to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Music High School. Conducted by Natan Sugár and supported by Jeunesse, the orchestra will perform Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 alongside members of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, as well as the world premiere of Fractures, a new composition by Adam Smetana dedicated to the MGW Festival Orchestra. The soloist originally scheduled for Mozart’s Horn Concerto KV 417 was Featured Artist Katharina Paul.

Jeunesse in co-operation with the Anton Bruckner Association of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and the MGW.
