LP Duo
For over two decades, the piano duo LP Duo (Sonja Lončar and Andrija Pavlović) has been at the forefront of a new musical expression, blending classical traditions with contemporary sounds. With two concert grand pianos, they craft a universe of sound where classical elegance, refined electronics, rock’s raw energy and jazz’s improvisational freedom converge. International successes including performances at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz are proof of their artistic innovation. Through their intensive exploration of technology, they jointly developed the Hybrid Piano (DUALITY Portable Hybrid Piano System) – a modular instrument that fuses the acoustic sound of the concert grand piano with digital soundscapes. Their works are not merely compositions, but acoustic narratives that are rich in emotion, structure and tension. Especially striking is their ability to construct a sound architecture through precise interplay and intuitive expressiveness, achieving a balance that is both intellectually stimulating and deeply moving. From minimalist patterns to acoustic density and improvisational freedom, each work becomes a unique experience.

Programme
The evening’s concert will take the audience through compositions from the albums Duality and Dead Sea, released by Universal Music. Both albums are composed exclusively of original compositions, written especially for their hybrid pianos. Part of the programme is also dedicated to the visionary art and science project Quantum Music, which LP Duo launched back in 2015 in conjunction with quantum physicists and scientists from Oxford, Singapore, Aarhus and Delft. In a finely crafted dramaturgical performance, they open new soundscapes at the intersection of classical tradition and contemporary avant-garde.
The musical language of LP Duo is characterised by subtle dynamics, virtuoso precision and a visionary sound aesthetic. The boundaries between concert, performance and electronic sound design become blurred. The audience is invited to immerse themselves in a world in which innovation, intimacy and energy merge to create a concert experience of extraordinary depth and expressiveness.
