CHARITY CONCERT FOR THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHILDREN’S RIGHTS
Vienna Girls Choir at Das MuTh
Choral music | Lieder & singing | Concert | Young people | Adults | Family
On November 20, we celebrate International Children’s Rights Day (World Children’s Day). On this day in 1959, the UN adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. Thirty years later, on 20 November 1989, the Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted by the UN General Assembly. All countries in the world have now signed the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
In honour of the occasion, the Vienna Girls Choir and an alumni project choir are organising a special charity concert at Das MuTh, the concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir. Each choir will perform a short programme, with the concert concluding in a few joint pieces.
Admission is free; donations are requested.
All proceeds will go to “Die Möwe”, a child protection organisation.
