DIE SOUVERÄNE LESERIN (THE SOVEREIGN READER)
Birgit Minichmayr and Alois Mühlbacher go British
Chamber music | Literature | Concert | Reading | Adults
Who would have thought that a declaration of love for the Queen and literature could blend so perfectly? It’s all thanks to the dogs. During a stroll with the Queen, they dash off to bark at the county library’s bookmobile, which happens to be parked in one of the palace courtyards. Out of courtesy, the Queen apologises to the librarian, and, to be polite, borrows a book – only to discover a passion for reading.
The ripple effects of the Queen’s sudden literary appetite shake Buckingham Palace to its core, leaving not a dry eye in the audience.
