GUTE HIRTEN (GOOD SHEPHERDS)

Shepherds play an important part in the Christmas story. They may have been just “simple folk”, but they were the first to hear of the birth of Jesus. The shepherds in the Bible represent all mankind. Each and every one of us can and should identify with them. The Good Shepherds have become a Christmas tradition here at Das MuTh. In the Vienna Boys’ Choir’s Christmas Concert, the various campus choirs perform atmospheric motets and carols, sung both a cappella and accompanied by an orchestra. And, of course, the audience is part of the experience. Anyone who wishes to is invited to join in and sing along to some classic Christmas hits. And that’s how a single concert becomes a festival of music for all the family.
