Two different temperaments – one shared feeling. When dynamic trumpeter Leonhard Leeb joined Bulgarian piano virtuoso Martin Ivanov in the studio, the energy was palpable. For their first CD collaboration they have chosen to record Ivanov’s arrangements of Leeb’s compositions. The virtuoso speaks a passionate musical language all of his own, which is perhaps most evident in Liszt’s “Grand galop chromatique” for solo piano. There is a sheer delight to be found in this intensity. Musical enjoyment combined with instrumental virtuosity.
