LAN WEIWEI – TRADITIONAL CHINESE PIPA CONCERT

Since 2023, the concert series “Heritage of Chinese National Music” has been dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese music internationally. This pipa concert with Lan Weiwei presents masterpieces from different eras and regions of China – from traditional classics such as “Ambush from Ten Sides” and “Autumn Moon over the Han Palace”, to contemporary works by Liu Dehai, Luo Yonghui and Yao Chen. The sound of the pipa, one of the most important Chinese plucked instruments, can convey both power and poetry, while embracing the traditional and the innovative. This concert offers a fascinating insight into the diversity and timeless beauty of Chinese musical culture.
