MICHAEL SCHADE’S MUSIC SALON
Tea Anyone? A Very English Evening
Chamber music | Lieder & singing | Concert | Adults
It doesn’t always have to be Purcell or Britten. How about Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Four Hymns”, or his cycle “On Wentlock Edge”? Son of an Anglican clergyman, and deeply rooted in the British tradition, he was highly influential in the development of new English music. Let’s head over to the island, and see what we can find!
We will also hear music by Gerald Finzi, John Stainer, Roger Quilter andr George Butterworth. Off to the island – and don’t forget the biscuits!
