MOUNTAIN BROOK HIGH SCHOOL

As their name suggests, the Mountain Brook High School Band and Choir hail from Mountain Brook, a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama. They represent one of the most famous musical programmes in the region. The various ensembles that comprise the band – including the Symphonic Winds and Mighty Marching Spartans – have already performed not just across the entire USA, but also internationally. The choir’s four ensembles sing a wide-ranging repertoire, which includes classical choral music, modern a cappella, and show choir numbers. These talented young musicians are now on tour in Austria and Germany, sharing their music, representing their school and their community, and enjoying a cultural exchange experience. They are especially looking forward to appearing on stage in Vienna, and getting a taste of the city’s unrivalled musical tradition.
