The Johann Sebastian Bach Music School (JSBM) New Year’s Concert once again invites audiences to a joyful and varied musical prelude to the year ahead. With the theme “Music connects generations,” the school’s young talents present a program spanning cinematic soundscapes and classical masterpieces. From the Young Masters – a cooperative project with the Talent Lab of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna – to the youth orchestra, JSBM ensembles demonstrate just how diverse and vibrant music can be.
Highlights of the evening range from epic soundtracks such as The Legend of Zelda and Jurassic Park to lively orchestral works by Leroy Anderson, Saint-Saëns, Strauss, and Vangelis. The result is an evening that moves and inspires, ushering in the new year with energy and optimism – performed by a new generation of young musicians who live and love music.
