PLONK!

Much like our ZONK!?!! initiative, where we unleash our eccentric music in unconventional spaces, mainly public areas, this we imagine the impact it would make inside Das MuTh’s concert hall. However, this time, the reverberation comes with a more acoustically nuanced “PLONK!”. Our music encounters a fresh audience, with the optimistic hope that it has the power to ignite bursts of inspiration and evoke thought bubbles akin to those found in comics.
The composers Julia Purgina and Oxana Omelchuk have both explored the concepts of “plonk” and reverberation in their work. Both exhibit a playful and notably virtuoso approach to instrumentation, creating a daring new auditory realm for listeners!
An equally significant highlight for the evening is the official inauguration of Xizi Wang as Studio Dan’s first female ensemble conductor.

Amuse-Gueule
Much like a welcome culinary treat from the kitchen, our version represents an ear-opening introduction, where we extend a direct invitation to interested audience members to join us in anticipation of each concert.
In less than an hour, we swiftly navigate through the thrilling highlights of the upcoming programme, allowing our visitors to actively engage in this unique listening experience right in the midst of the ensemble. Start: 18:15

Biglietto sospeso – The Solitickets
Inspired by the wonderful Neapolitan tradition of caffè sospeso, where the buyer of a cup of coffee financially supports the cup of an unknown fellow customer in a gesture of solidarity, we present the Biglietto sospeso for the concerts in the YOU BETTER LISTEN! series. It’s essentially a one-for-two deal!
