The South Coast Youth Symphony Orchestra enjoys an excellent reputation in California and attracts numerous young musicians from the state.
The Youth Orchestra has performed in some of the world’s greatest concert halls, including the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and the Segerstrom Center for the Arts Concert Hall.
In recent years, the ensemble has travelled internationally to Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, England, Ireland and Wales, France, Greece and Germany.
The young musicians from California are excited to delight their audiences in Prague, Vienna and Leipzig with festive music by composers including Ennio Morricone, Van Morrison and William Hofeldt, under the direction of Rocky Lee. A ballet ensemble accompanies selected pieces with its own choreography.
