OJPA – ALICANTE’S YOUTH ORCHESTRA

OJPA – Alicante’s Youth Orchestra was founded in 2009 by conductor Francisco Maestre, with the aim of encouraging and developing young musicians from the province of Alicante. To date over a thousand young people have been supported through the course, which combines musical training with fostering values such as commitment, perseverance, team spirit, and responsibility. Today the orchestra comprises over 80 musicians whose ages range from 7 to 25. The ensemble performs a predominantly Spanish repertoire.

BRITTEN JEUGD STRIJKORKEST

The Britten Jeugd Strijkorkest is an energetic youth string orchestra from the eastern Netherlands which supports young string players and encourages their musical development. Under the inspiring direction of conductor Loes Visser, their playing combines high musical standards with warmth, passion and the simple joy of playing. As well as performing concerts, the orchestra records and goes on tour. Through its awards, international appearances, and collaborations with distinguished soloists and  conservatories, the orchestra has garnered widespread recognition. The Vienna performance features a colourful array of classical music for strings.
