Euregio Jeugd Orkest
The Euregio Jeugd Orkest is a symphony orchestra featuring over 80 talented young musicians. Under the direction of conductor Hans Casteleyn, renowned for his exceptional teaching abilities, it was honoured as the Best Youth Symphony Orchestra in the Netherlands in 2018. The orchestra frequently collaborates with renowned soloists and has toured internationally, performing in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls. In 2013, it won first prize in the Youth Symphony Orchestra category at the SCL Festival. The orchestra plays pieces by Bernstein, De Falla, Rachmaninov and others under the direction of Hans Casteleyn.
Anglican Church Grammar School – choir and string orchestra
Known as The Churchies, they proudly carry on a rich musical tradition at their institution in Brisbane, Australia.
The choir has won countless awards and performed internationally, including at the Tutti Youth Music Festival in Beijing, as well as in Japan and Longreach. Renowned for their energy and vibrant sound, the Senior Voices of Churchie eagerly anticipate their debut at the SCL Festival in 2025, led by conductor Rosemary Oxenford. Under the direction of conductor Ben Hooper, the string orchestra is celebrated as the school’s premier ensemble, known for its exceptional musicality and diverse repertoire, which features works from the early Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods as well as compositions from various global cultures. Many members of the ensemble represent Churchie at national and international level, including participation in the Australian Youth Orchestra and various State Youth Orchestras.
