Caulfield Grammar School
Caulfield Grammar School in Victoria, Australia, is renowned for its outstanding music program, with 12 choirmasters and more than 430 active choral singers. This year, the school is represented at the SCL Festival by a choir and a wind orchestra.
The Touring Choir, under the direction of Naomi Osborne, Meredith Woinarski and Simon Walter, performs a varied repertoire including works by Australian composers. Under the direction of Simon Brown and Karen Bouyer, the wind orchestra performs a dynamic repertoire that includes both classic wind music and contemporary Australian compositions.
St Mary’s Canossian College Orchestra
The St Mary’s Canossian College Orchestra was founded in 1990 to provide students with an in-depth orchestral education and to encourage interest in orchestral music and the arts. Today, the orchestra comprises around 60 members. Led by Amos Lee, it regularly participates in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, consistently earning outstanding results. The repertoire ranges from Hayden and Elgar to Shostakovich and Gardel.
