TRÄUME – DREAMS

A hosted concert spanning cinema, dreams and contemporary music. The starting point is film music by Hungarian composers who became internationally known, together with works from beyond the cinema screen. We hear the mysterious theremin, famous from Hitchcock’s “Spellbound”, alongside piano music by György Ligeti and György Kurtág, and we enter the electronic soundworlds of sonic pioneer Laurie Spiegel. Live music, film excerpts and brief introductions open a multi-sensory pathway to new sounds – for those music lovers who have a curious disposition and are willing to engage with the unknown.
