MUK.sinfonieorchester
Orchestral music | New music | Classic | Concert | Adults
To mark Ernst Krenek’s 125th birthday, the MUK.sinfonieorchester is devoting itself to his concert aria Monologue of Stella (1928) – this time in the rarely heard orchestral version. The impressive combination of lyrical expression and modern musical language builds a subtle bridge to Viennese classical music. The latter takes centre stage with Mozart’s elegiac Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola, K. 364, and Beethoven’s witty and incisive Symphony No. 8, Op. 93.
The evening will be rounded off with a world premiere by MUK alumnus Dmytro Kyryliv – an exciting addition to the stylistic spectrum.
Classical meets neoclassical and zeitgeist – a concert full of colours, contrasts and discoveries!
