WEGE DURCH DAS LAND – PATHWAYS THROUGH THE LAND

Once upon a time, there was a magician called Ferdinand Grimm. He was the fourth brother after the two famous fairy-tale collectors, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. He was the black sheep of the family, a ‘slacker’ and a ‘good-for-nothing’, even though he helped Jacob and Wilhelm to collect and publish their works. He himself published under a pseudonym and was a wonderful storyteller, whose tales are teeming with fantastical magic, vengeful dwarves, ghosts and giants. But at Christmas 1810 he came out as gay before the assembled festive gathering, causing a rift with his family. With the help of the Edgar Knecht Trio, the father and son team of August and Johannes Zirner bring the outcast Grimm brother back to the stage.
