WIEN-LEMBERG UND ZURÜCK (RETURN TICKET FROM VIENNA TO LVIV)
A musical and literary journey to Galicia and Bukovina
Chamber music | Literature | Concert | Reading | Adults
“Lviv” was once a day’s train journey from Vienna. As a multicultural hub, the Galician capital served as a significant cultural centre, particularly in the 19th century. Franz Xaver Mozart established the first Galician music society, the “Cäcilien-Verein,” while violinist Ignaz Schuppanzigh initiated the first subscription concerts in Lviv. Renowned artists and composers graced the concert halls, enriching the cultural landscape. The multimedia concert project “Wien-Lemberg und zurück” (Return Ticket From Vienna To Lviv) showcases the enduring cultural connections between the former crown territory of Galicia and Vienna.
Werke von FRANZ XAVER MOZART, FRANZ LISZT, FRANZ LEHÁR, FRITZ KREISLER u.v.a., literarisch unterlegt mit Texten von JOSEPH ROTH, ROSE AUSLÄNDER, PAUL CELAN, KARL EMIL FRANZOS u.a.
