Whether you’re looking for somewhere to get in the mood before the performance, a good spot to spend the interval, or just somewhere to relax after the show, Café Maximilian is the place to be. Located in the old gatehouse, featuring a stylish, yet timeless design, the café plays host to a range of interesting exhibitions, curated by Galerie modulart.

Café Maximilian opens for an hour before the performance starts, during the interval, and at the end of the performance. Come along and enjoy a cup of Hausbrandt coffee, or choose from our wide selection of teas. We also offer a choice of refreshing cold drinks, a range of marvellous wines from the Sax vineyard in Langenlois, and Sekt from the Szigeti vintners. Filled rolls and other light bites are also available. You can book drinks and a table for the interval before the performance begins. The café has wheelchair-friendly access.

Book the café for your own event!

Café Maximilian can accommodate up to 70 guests. This space can be expanded to include the adjoining patio, our Atelier (which holds around 100 people), or the MuTh foyer. We can cater for up to 450 people, and we hold events such as post-concert receptions, company galas, fellowship meals, launch events and birthdays.
