Australian chamber orchestra meets Spanish symphony orchestra
The Northern Sydney Youth Orchestra offers a wide-ranging and diverse program from classical symphonic orchestral repertoire to contemporary music, such as film music. In one of their recent performances they opened the Last Jedi premiere to an enthusiastic audience of over 600 Star Wars fans. NSYO will meet OJPA – Alicante’s Youth Orchestra, which was founded by Francisco Maestre. The members of the Spanish Orchestra are coming from music schools and conservatories of the region Alicante and their program ranges from Viennese Classic to Spanish contemporary music.
Annually, the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival brings nearly 2.000 young people to Vienna for musical and cultural exchange. At the 12th edition of the Festival, a series of concerts with selected orchestras and choirs takes place at the MuTh concert hall.
