Right to modify
We reserve the right to modify these General Terms and Conditions at any time.
Purchase of tickets and ticket prices
Tickets may be purchased at the Concert Hall box office, by telephone, or online. Prices will be charged in accordance with the seating category applicable and the current price list. The prices shown in our price lists and in our other publications include Value Added Tax at the rate currently in force. In certain individual cases (dress rehearsals, matinées, special events, New Year’s Eve etc), “Wiener Sängerknaben Konzertsaal Betriebs- GmbH” reserves the right to set prices which are different to those shown in the price list. When buying tickets, please check the name of the event, the date and start time of the performance, and also check your change. Retrospective complaints cannot be considered and no refunds can be offered for tickets which have been lost. Purchases made by credit card are only deemed to have taken place when the purchase price has been authorised by the relevant credit card company. “Wiener Sängerknaben Konzertsaal Betriebs- GmbH” reserves the right to set a minimum amount for credit card payments. This will always be shown on the ticket. Please also note the General Terms and Conditions of our Ticket sales partner Jetticket.
Concert Hall box office
The Concert Hall box office is open from Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) from 16:00 until 18:00. The box office is also open in the evening from one hour before the start of the performance. Tickets purchased from the box office can be paid for in cash, by debit card, or by credit card (Visa, Mastercard).
Purchase of tickets by telephone
Tickets can be purchased over the telephone on +43 1 347 80 80. Payment must be made by credit card. We accept the following credit cards: Mastercard or Visa. In order to ensure that we provide a speedy, uncomplicated ticket sales service, customers are allocated a customer number, under which the customer’s name, address and telephone number and the event for which the ticket was purchased are all stored.
Tickets thus purchased are automatically kept (free of charge) under the customer’s name at the box office, from where they can be collected from Monday to Friday (except holidays) between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., or from one hour before the performance begins.
There are no additional charges for sending tickets by post within the country, or for keeping tickets at the box office.
Online ticket purchases
T
ickets may also be purchased from our website at www.muth.at. The Online Ticket Shop is managed by our ticket sales partner, WT Wien Ticket GmbH. Data will not be passed on to any third party. In order to make payment, customers are required to register and pay by credit card. We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club. In general, ticket purchases cannot be refunded.
Tickets purchased from the Online Shop may be collected from the box office or printed out at home using the “print@home” function. “Print@home” tickets can be shown at the entrance to the Concert Hall, just like a conventional ticket.
There are no additional costs associated with collecting tickets from the box office, nor with the “print@home” service.
Our ticket sales partner WT Wien Ticket GmbH maintains the Online Shop on our behalf and operates it in conjunction with ourselves.
Exchanging tickets at the theatre
Tickets purchased from the Concert Hall box office (Obere Augartenstraße 1E) may be exchanged for tickets for other events, subject to the following provisions. The event selected as an exchange must be open for advance booking, and the exchange must be made at least one day prior to the performance for which the original ticket was purchased. The original ticket must be returned and only one exchange is permitted. Reduced-price tickets cannot be exchanged.
Waiting list
Customers seeking to buy tickets from the Concert Hall box office, either in person or by credit card over the telephone, can go onto a waiting list. The waiting list operates in the order in which applications are received. If we contact a customer on the waiting list by telephone, tickets offered must be paid for by credit card during that telephone conversation.
Cast changes
We reserve the right to make changes to the cast and in the timings of subscription events, and such changes will not provide any entitlement for Concert Hall tickets to be refunded or exchanged. Possession of a ticket does not provide any contractual entitlement to sell that ticket. “Wiener Sängerknaben Konzertsaal Betriebs- GmbH” expressly reserves the right to make changes in performance casts.
Postponed performance start times
Postponing the start time of a performance at short notice shall not entitle the purchaser to a ticket refund. To keep themselves informed, visitors are responsible for checking on the day of the performance with regard to any changes that might arise.
Cancellation of a performance
In the event that a performance is cancelled, tickets purchased from the Concert Hall’s sales outlets may be exchanged at these sales outlets for tickets for another event, provided that the exchange takes place within one month of the date of the original event and that the original ticket is returned. Only one such exchange is permitted. If desired, as an alternative the purchase price of the ticket may be refunded.
Subscription tickets and reduced-price tickets are excluded from this provision.
Abandonment of a performance
If a performance is abandoned, anyone who has purchased individual tickets from one of the Concert Hall’s sales outlets will be offered an alternative performance; or, if this is not possible due to performance scheduling (or for any other reason), he or she will be refunded the price of entry, provided that at the time the performance was abandoned less than half of the production had been performed.
Young Persons’ Cards
Young Persons’ Cards are not transferable. Young Persons’ Cards are available for young people up to 18 years old. Young Persons’ Cards cannot be used for matinee performances on New Year’s Eve! They offer no entitlement to reduced-rate tickets, specific seats or to a particular price category. Young Persons’ Cards may be purchased through the usual advance booking arrangements or by telephone. If a reduced-rate ticket is used inappropriately, then the difference compared to the full-rate ticket may be collected or the visitor may be refused entry to the performance. There will be no refund of ticket prices to latecomers or those who have been denied entry to a performance.
Wheelchair spaces
MuTh – the Vienna Boys’ Choir Concert Hall has four spaces for wheelchairs in the stalls. Step-free access is available. A seat in close proximity to the wheelchair spaces is provided for an accompanying person.
Bringing animals
With the exception of guide dogs and assistance dogs for people with disabilities, as provided for under § 32 (4) of the Vienna Event Venues legislation, bringing animals is prohibited.
According to § 39 of the Federal Disability Act,
(1) a guide dog is a dog which, by showing evidence of the necessary good health and fundamental suitability, and by having successfully completed a special course of training – principally in the areas of obedience and guiding ability – is particularly well qualified to support a person who is blind or has extremely limited vision.
(2) The guide dog should provide disabled people with extensive support in the area of mobility, compensate for the problems of perception experienced by blind people and those with extremely limited vision, and enable them to move without danger in both familiar and unfamiliar surroundings.
(3) In order for a dog to be designated as a “guide dog”, and in order for financial support for the purchase of a guide dog to be granted out of public funds, it is a precondition that a joint assessment by a group of experts, which must include at least one person who is blind or has extremely limited vision, reaches a positive conclusion. In making this assessment, consideration shall principally be given to the dog’s obedience, behaviour and guiding ability as well as the functional interplay between the dog and the person who is blind or has extremely limited vision.
Photographic, moving image and sound recordings
Anyone holding a card permitting the record ing of photographs or moving images agrees that the recordings he or she makes may be used without recompense. Private recordings, whether photographic, moving image or audio, are prohibited during performances.
Personal data
Customer data which is imparted to us when making a purchase or placing an order will be used to process the purchase or order and will be stored for this purpose for at least six months, and – with the exception of our ticket sales partner WT Wien Ticket GmbH – will not be passed on to any third party. In the event of programme changes, efforts will be made to notify customers of these changes by telephone.
General provisions
If any visitor disturbs other visitors or disrupts the selling of tickets, or contravenes the house rules or the directions of staff in the box office or auditorium, then “Wiener Sängerknaben Konzertsaal Betriebs- GmbH” reserves the right to refuse to allow that visitor to purchase tickets for a specified period of time or, in serious cases, permanently.
Each valid ticket entitles one person to visit the specified performance, subject to complying with the house rules in force at the time. A valid ticket must always be shown to the auditorium staff on request. It is not permitted to take any seat other than that shown on the ticket. Visitors who contravene the house rules or the above provisions may be shown from the performance with no reimbursement of the price paid. Visitors who arrive late will only be admitted at predetermined times. Coats, jackets and backpacks must be deposited at the cloakroom.
