WORKSHOP – THEATRE TECHNOLOGY
For adults
Out of the ordinary | Education | Specials | Young people | Adults
We can see the stage – but what equipment is hidden behind, below and above it? What does a sound engineer’s job entail? How are sets moved around the stage? And where does the Bösendorfer live, when it’s not being used? How does an architectural practice design a concert hall so that the acoustic is equally suitable for operatic performances and chamber music concerts?
Come along and take a peek behind the curtains. See first-hand how our sound engineers go about their work. This exciting guided tour reveals just how much technology lies hidden behind each concert and every theatrical event. And once the tour is over, you can try out the controls of the lighting and sound desks, and create the technical set-up for a concert yourself!
