The ever-hungry Truffaldino is constantly dreaming of food, so when he gets the chance to serve a second master alongside his own, he eagerly accepts – after all, double pay means double meals. However, his dream quickly turns into a challenge! Truffaldino finds himself stretched to the limit, concocting all sorts of excuses to juggle his duties to both masters, Florindo and Beatrice (disguised as the male Federigo Rasponi), simultaneously.
