What is the sound of Earth? Earth is the most fundamental of the elements: every living thing comes from the earth, and every living thing returns to it.

The Eggner Trio hail from the Lockenhaus/ Schwarzenberg area, and their international reputation has been built at venues such as the Wigmore Hall and the Concertgebouw. Here they capture the essence of Earth in musical form through works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Bedřich, Smetana, and Johannes Brahms. Christian Fennesz, the internationally acclaimed electronic musician and guitarist from Vienna, provides electronic counterpoint and some breathtaking musical interjections, with visuals courtesy of Ulrich Aschenbrenner.
