GRAND FINAL OF THE "JOHANN STRAUSS" SINGING COMPETITION

The year 2025 marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss Jr. In preparation for this festive year, Johann Strauss 2025 Vienna is organising a special MUT (Musical Entertainment Theatre) competition in collaboration with the Gärtnerplatztheater with a focus on Johann Strauss and Viennese operetta. From over 100 applicants, more than 40 participants competed in two semi-finals in Munich and Vienna in February, from which 12 finalists have now qualified. The grand finale of the Johann Strauss Singing Competition will take place with the Strauss Festival Orchestra under the direction of Hannah Eisendle on 8 May 2024 at 7.30 pm at Das MuTh.
